STEP 2. "DESIGN YOUR USSCM DIPLOMA PROGRAM"

The Performance & Improvisation module is required. Each module contains 4 microsemesters (materials and guidance for 4 full semesters, which you may complete in 1-2 months each).

Choose two to seven modules, in your preferred sequence. You may choose Advanced Improvisation, Songwriting/Linear Counterpoint or Schillinger System modules in the order best for you (we can help you decide). The Schillinger System enhances all musical skills and is prerequisite to Arranging/Orchestration, which is prerequisite to MediaScoring.

Changes to the sequence of modules may be made any time after you start; new changes take place after the current module is completed.

This flexible approach allows you to design an academic program that best suits your goals.

Discounts and scholarships apply to fully-designed diploma programs.

The full cost of your USSCM program will depend its length and your personal discounts, and can be calculated below. For example, a typical basic program (two modules + two electives) costs approximately $8000, which is about 10% the cost of residential music schools (including living expenses). With or without Financial Aid, USSCM's low cost and tuition plan puts professional music training within the reach of everyone considering college.

I have qualified as a Bluebird Cafe Scholar for the Songwriting Module. ($1875 award)
Bluebird Cafe Scholars have songs/compositions/performances in major distribution (fax label and mail CD).
