EarGymTM help for Macintosh

EarGym for Macintosh requires Mac OS Runtime for Java (MRJ) 2.2 or higher
This is available, free, from Apple at
http://developer.apple.com/java/download.html

You need QuickTime for Java

  1. Make sure that Quicktime is installed.

You can check this by going to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/.
If you do not have Quicktime, the page will not display correctly and will prompt you to install Quicktime from the Apple site.

You can download Quicktime from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
Perform the full install: When the program presents a choice of a minimum, full, or custom install, choose ‘full.’

  2. Install Quicktime for Java. This does not automatically install with Quicktime.

Use Sherlock or FileFind, on the Apple Menu or via Command-F, and find the QuickTimeInstaller

Begin a new install. When the program presents a choice of a minimum, full, or custom install, choose ‘custom.’ On the next screen that the installer presents, scroll down the list of components to find ‘Quicktime for Java.’ Check this component, then proceed with the custom installation.

Also, make sure that Java is enabled in your browser preference settings.
In IE, select Edit > Preferences > Web browser > Enable Java

In Netscape, select Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Enable Java
